Hintok Road Camp
‘D’ Force O and P Battalions were located here. To get to some of the lower work sites along the Hintok section of the rail link it was necessary for POWs to walk along a muddy track through the middle of Hintok Valley Camp.
The POWs were greatly concerned about the close proximity of Tamils who were also accommodated at Hintok Valley Camp which was the new home to ‘ H’ Group – the first party of ‘H’ Force who were here between June-July 1943.
