General Description

‘Darkie’ and his wife Amy were living in Carnarvon in 1972.

Alan had married about 1953 at Broome to Amy M. Banks.

In Jan 1973 Borehole Bulletin ‘Darkie’ was mentioned as being at Hollywood Hospital – on one of his regular visits from Carnarvon.  The author (believed to be Ted Wallin) wrote ‘He was told ‘Darkie’ had to get bak to bottle up the “Home Brew” and wished him and Amy good luck, hoping to see him one of these days!’

Alan McKay Hill known as ‘Darkie’  died 12/3/1976.
