General Description

Hickson embarked on HMT Zealander at Fremantle with the 2/6th Field Park Company as 86 Light Aid Detachment on 30 May 1941.  Transferred to 88 Light Aid Detachment, 8th Division Salvage Unit and then attached to 2/4th MGB, date unknown.

Hickson was hospitalised at Aunggaung 105 km, and although there are no records, we assume he was evacuated to Tamarkan or one of 4 large camps in Thailand.  He would have been there when the war ended.
