Lloyd George Ashbolt was the only child born to George and Edith Ashbolt of Manchester Street, Victoria Park.  His patriotic Grandmother who resided in York,  suggested her grandson be named after Britain’s Prime Minister Lloyd George!
Prior to enlistment Ashbolt was a travelling salesman with Foggitt Jones Pty Ltd – Meat and Dairy Manufacturers and Wholesalers as well as canned foods.
His parents were most fortunate to receive a card from Burma from him advising he was in good health!

ASHBOLT, Lloyd

Lloyd married Amelia Mabel Potts at Perth in 1946.  They had one son Bruce Lloyd Ashbolt born 1947.  He died  2017 Gooseberry Hill.
In 1958 Lloyd and Amelia resided Leonora Street, Como, Lloyd was working as a traveller probably with Foggit Jones.  The couple moved toTodd Street, South Como in 1963.
They were residing in the same street in later years however the area was now called Tangney.

We believe Lloyd George Ashbolt is first cousin to WX15951 Stan Lance’s wife Iris Amy (Pat) Ashbolt who married Perth 1947.  Iris’s father is Edward William Ashbolt younger brother to George Henry Ashbolt, father of Lloyd.
