Mrs R Loller of Butcher Street, Bruce Rock has received notice from the military authorities that her son, Pte James Andrew Loller, who had previously been reported as seriously wounded in action and later posted as missing in Malaya, is now a prisoner of war in Malaya.  Son of a pioneer Bruce Rock family, he went away with a WA machine gun battalion and no news has been heard of him since early in February, 1942.  His mother, a widow with ten children (five sons and five daughters) received the news with joy.
