Hickson was hospitalised at Aunggaung 105 km Burma and although there are no records, we assume he was evacuated to Tamarkan or one of 4 large camps in Thailand when the railway was completed and all POWs in Burma were brought south into Thailand by the Japanese. He may have been at Tarmarkan when the war ended.
