General Description
Sgt. Henry DeMoulin had served with the 28th Battalion Militia, W9802 before joining AIF 16 Nov 1940.
When 2/4th arrived Singapore, Harry was 2nd in Command with Lt. Warhurst of HQ ‘E’ Company. He was KIA at south west Bukit Timah when ‘E’ Company ran into a Japanese ambush. He was 21 years of age.

DeMoulin’s parents Harry Thomas DeMoulin and Elizabeth Ann Sturkey (nee Woodhead) married 1919. Harry DeMoulin’s (Snr) first wife died in 1918, they had a son and a daughter. Elizabeth Sturkey had two children from an earlier marriage.
Around this time Harry DeMoulin was a motor car dealer. He retired during early 1930s.
Henry attended Wesley School, South Perth.
Although difficult to identify faces, Henry DeMoulin is right hand side of middle row.
Harry DeMoulin was 21 years old when he was killed in action.
His father also Harry, died February 1945.
Harry’s sister Eily married Ken Tucker.
She enlisted as Sgt Eily De Moulin WF96307.
