General Description
Admitted to 2/13th A.G.H. with conjunctivitis on 7/2/1942 and diagnosed with corneal ulcer to left eye. Transferred to 2/9th Field Ambulance on 8/2/1942 and discharged to unit on 28/2/1942. It is believed Webber was transferred to 2/9th Field Ambulance joining his brother George, exchanging with Pte. Goulden who was later executed at Victoria Point having attempted to escape.
Bill left Changi with ‘F’ Force to work on Burma-Thai Railway, Thailand in 1943. Please read further.

Bill is son of Frederick Webber and Mary Catherine Haughey. Bill was one of three sons and three daughters. Frederick died 1951 and Catherine in 1960. Bill’s brother George also enlisted and became POW of Japan.
Bill married 1946 to Hilda Emily Guest.
Bill Webber died 17 July 1971.
