General Description
Review WX3121 Cyril Dunnell‘s military records held at NAA.
Enlisted with 16th Battalion (Cameron Highlanders Regiment) prior to enlisting AIF and joining 2/3rd MGB.
Cyril’s younger brother WX17595 Norman Lenard Dunnell (known as Bob) b. April 1921 enlisted AIF and joined 2/4th MGB and became POW of Japan when Singapore capitulated on 15 Feb 1942. Bob was recovered from Japan at the end of the war. Bob also enlisted with 16th Btn Cameron Highlanders Regiment.
Both sons worked as bakers in their father’s business, Kelmscott.
