General Description

MacKinnon remained at Singapore throughout the war.

18 Feb 1944 he was transferred from Selarang and joined 2/29th Btn.  19 May 19444 MacKinnon was transferred with pellagra to Kranji Hospital from Changi.

He was recovered from Changi 4 September 1945.

Graham and Mary – News Chronicle January 1992

 

Graham Charles MacKinnon CMG ED (10 December 1916 – 27 June 1992) was an Australian politician who was a Liberal Partymember of the Legislative Council of Western Australia from 1956 to 1986. He served as a minister in the governments of David Brand and Charles Court.

After the war’s end, Graham moved to Bunbury, where he owned a caravan manufacturer and later managed a sewing machine company. He was also president of the local branch of the Returned Services League (RSL)

Graeme MacKinnon died at the end of June 1992.  He was elected President of 2/4th in April 1992 for a second year and sadly resigned due to illness during June.
