General Description
Review WX10734 Joseph William Woodley‘s military records held at NAA.

Above: Woodley’s name recorded on the Tarsau POW Hospital records. He died 12 Mar 1944 of dysentery. He probably was evacuated to Tarsau from either another hospital camp in northern Thailand or Burma, because all the POWs were brought south towards end of 1943, when the rail was completed. Several smaller work parties did remain for rail maintenance. Unfortunately, there are records to hand we can search.,
Joseph William is younger brother to WX5373 Clifford Woodley who died 20 April 1945 aged 45 years
Woodley died 12 March 1944 aged 43 years.
