General Description

Harry was born in Donnybrook to Richard Cain and Vera Hildegarde Trigwell who married about 1917.

Harry or Cobber as he was known to his mates, had been with the 25th Light Horse Militia before transferring to AIF.
Harry’s mate Vern Trigwell was also his cousin.
Harry enlisted AIF 3 Dec 1941, he quickly joined 2/4th reinforcements embarking on ‘Aquitania’ to Singapore on 15 February 1942.
With 2/4th’s ‘A’ Company, Harry was Killed in Action at Hill 200, Ulu Pandan on 12 Feb 1942 aged just 21 years.
