General Description

Review WX2795 Norman Harvey‘s military records held at NAA.

 

Harvey was sent with a work force via Singapore to Burma-
Thai Railway from Java.  He is recorded having died at Tarsau POW Hospital Camp, Thailand  of amoebic dysentery 27 Jan 1944.  He would have been evacuated to Tarsau Hospital Camp from the Burma-Thai Railway.

 

 

Other 2/3 West Australian who died at Tarsau include Rowse, Thatcher, Woodall, Nielsen and Woodley.
Harvey was recorded having enlisted at Moora others from this area in 2/3rd include Purser, Jenkins and Richard Hamilton none of whom returned home.
