Review WX4137 Thomas Holland‘s military records held at NAA.

The following is Thomas’ Japanese Prisoner of War Index Card, also held at the NAA.

 

 

Mort is a year older than his brother ‘Sharkey’ WX4142 Stanley William Hanson Holland who returned home from Java.

 

 

Above:  Holland was buried at the Kinsaiyok Cemetery.  He died 21 July 1943 of cholera.  There were at least 14 men recorded on this page of having died of cholera between 18-22 July 1943.  Holland died same day as 2/3rd mates Withnell and Jenkins on 21 July.
The above record include several West Australian 2/3 deaths – Watson, Dawe, Robinson, Withnell, Rainbird, Todd.
