Above:  Records for Kinsaiyok POW Cemetery, Thailand. Cpl Robinson  died 17 Jul 1943 of dysentery.
These WA men of 2/3rd were captured in Java and later shipped via Singapore to work on the Burma-Thai Railway.  Other men who died dysentery at  Kinsayok include Watson and Dawe.  Those who died of cholera were Withnell, Rainbird, Todd, Jenkins and Holland. The men would have known each well since enlistment then the confinement of POW life.
Robinson was a patient of Weary Dunlop when he died on 17 July.  Weary Dunlop recorded his death in his diary.  He further wrote of Robinson “Robinson was a highly skilled little wrestler and a most gentlemanly fellow”.
