General Description
Saunders enlisted AIF Oct 1940 later joined ‘D’ Coy 13 Platoon as Driver under CO Lt Wankey. Please read about ‘D’ Coy 13 Platoon at Singapore.
Gil drove the first truckload of wounded out of Lim Chiu Kang Road – Ken Lally was included with the wounded.
WX10066 Douglas Godfrey ROSS remained Singapore throughout war. In 1945 he was seconded to work with Levelling Party Changi Aerodrome, X1 Party and P Party.
Gil passed away in July 1989.
