Edward Jonathon Leadbitter’s wedding attended by mates, Drivers from Don Coy. Leadbitter (a Fairbridge Farm sschoolboy) died Kuii October 1943 of Cholera – 14 days after being kicked and beaten for 30 minutes by a Japanese Engineer known as ‘Black Cat’. The Japanese officer was enraged because Leadbitter had been suffering from malaria and was delirious.
Robert Walter Marsh died of wounds 5/4/1942 aged 18 years. He had enlisted just 4 months earlier 12/11/1941.
