WX10925 Sgt Pete Gardiner, ‘D’ Coy 15 Platoon
WIA 8 Feb 1942, spent 3 days behind enemy lines before being evacuated to hospital, Rejoined unit 15 Feb in line Holland Village Cemetery. Was half brother to WX15905 E.G. Moir. Both went with ‘D’ Force Thailand V Btn to work on Burma-Thai Railway, Pete survived to RTA & Edward George died illness Kuii 1 Oct 1943.
