General Description
Manning enlisted AIF August 1940 and later joined 2/4th MGB’s ‘C’ Company, No. 10 Platoon under Commanding Officers Lt. Wilson and Lt Ambrose.

Don Manning died of avitaminosis at Kuii Camp 22 October 1943. He was 28 years of age.

The above is from Jim Goldie’s family. Jim and Bill Beard died on the Sandakan March. The three men were in ‘C’ Company and enlisted in 1940.
