General Description

Ken Howell lived and worked at Mt Margaret as a miner for a few years around 1937, and recorded at Comet Vale in Electoral Roll.
Once enlisting AIF in Jul 1940 he moved to Coogee nearer to  his family at Rockingham Road. He joined ‘C’ Coy 10 Platoon under CO Lt Wilson.

Ken Howell was KIA at West Ulu Pandan on 11 Feb 1942 aged 28 years.  His body was unable to be recovered until 21 Dec 1942 by Major A Cough Party of 2/4th.

We believe his mother Clara died 1960 at safety Bay.  It is possible her husband David at safety Bay in 1962 – however we are unable to confirm.
