Below:  8th Division POWs shot by firing squad for attempting escape from Mergui, South Burma June 1942..  Remember NX10429 Robert Goulden (transferred to 2/4th) was shot by Japanese at Victoria Point, South Burma on 12 July 1942.  Goulden had been recaptured having attempted to escape.
